Whisky Retreat V - December 17-18th 2009
Announcement
A two day meeting dedicated to discuss the present status and future development of the Whisky code was held at the University of Southampton and organized by the local GR group .

Location
The meeting took place in the Nuffield Theatre (Building 6) of the Highfield Campus of the University. Useful locations are marked on the map below.

Getting here
Southampton Airport is a short bus ride from the campus. However, it serves only a limited number of destinations. The best alternative airports are London Heathrow (about 2 hours by coach, direct, or 2 hours by train, must change) or London Gatwick (about 2 hours by train, direct, or over 3 hours by coach, must change). There is a coach stop at the University. The train stations at the Airport and in town are both about 15 minutes by bus.
Accomodation
Most likely places to look at are the Highfield House Hotel and the Elizabeth House Hotel.
Program
Likely to be somewhat fluid and still up for discussion. However, expect discussions and work on

- Improving the multiblock and AMR support
- Improving MHD algorithms
- Approximating radiation transport and leakage
- Higher order methods
- Visualization
- Scaling and optimization.
